Bloomsday Sunday at CTR -

Some 50,000 Bloomies ran by today and several stopped for a hot dog, gatorade and bag of chips. It was great to see CTR folk hand out flyers, water bottles with schedules and invitation to Christianity explored, Tots and Co, Kidz club, etc.....

A great event to extend a bit of outreach to so many folks in the greater Spokane region.

Just a few weeks ago, Loren Baker shared his testimony about receiving a pink flyer during Bloomsday and it was the event on the flyer, which he attended, where God met him - that is the essence of the vision behind Bloomsday Sunday - hopes that one of these folks will take a flyer and God will meet them with His tranforming Gospel.

Mark 12:18-44 - 'Having it All' - Pastor Brian Hoch

The greatest commandment

29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. [e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' [f] 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' [g] There is no commandment greater than these."

Jesus finds the significant in the insignificant...

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

3.29.CTR.Paul Rees - Responding to God's Servant King

Mark 10:32-52
Serve one another - Greatness is determined this way in God's kingdom. James and John missed it while Bartimeaus, the blind man saw it and understood. Like God called to Bartimeaus, he is calling each of us as well - this is who is a true disciple.

Postcard - the silverware drawer

Tate took to putting the dishes away. One of those tasks was the silverware drawer - open it up and quickly find that organization skills are probably learned and not inherent.

Child Postcard

Bath time is a favorite in this house...
Wow, they love to splash and dump water on each others heads and just feel free about being in the rough. A startling realization happened as we were drying off the little critters and it became very apparent that my little girl Lindy was simply growing out of her pajamas. As I buttoned the last button, I recalled the fact that she was swimming in her pajamas just a few months ago -- not any more!

ChristtheRedeemer: Scandalous Discipleship

Mark 9:30-50 Sunday Service Brian Hoch
The call to Discipleship - we must serve. We must live a life of service.
His Mission is our Mission.
The very essence and purpose of our life must be defined soley by our relationship with Christ.
There should be nothing about us that would cause another to stumble.
